Aims and Scope
<h3>Aims and Scope</h3>
<p>The <em>Asia-Pacific Sustainable Development Journal (APSDJ)</em> is a flagship peer-reviewed, semi-annual publication issued by the <strong>United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP)</strong>.</p>
<p>The journal aims to stimulate debate and enrich research to support policy formulation in the Asia-Pacific region towards fulfilling the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. It provides a platform for policy-oriented, applied research and empirical analysis covering the economic, social, and environmental dimensions of sustainable development.</p>
<p>The APSDJ was established in 2018 through the merger of two long-standing ESCAP publications: the <em>Asia-Pacific Development Journal</em> (published since 1994) and the <em>Asia-Pacific Population Journal</em> (published since 1986).</p>
<h3>Open Access & UN Distribution</h3>
<p>All articles in the APSDJ are published Open Access under United Nations publications policy and Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Content is indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, DOAJ, UN iLibrary, and RePEc.</p>
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.
Peer Review Process

1. Initial Assessment
The Editorial Office checks the manuscript for formatting, scope, and plagiarism.

2. Editor Assignment
An appropriate Editor handles the manuscript and assigns at least two independent expert reviewers.

3. Peer Review
Reviewers evaluate the scientific quality and provide feedback (Double-blind process).

4. Final Decision
The Editor makes a decision based on reviewer recommendations (Accept, Revise, or Reject).
Publication Frequency
The journal is published quarterly, with issues released in March, June, September, and December. Articles are published continuously online as soon as they are accepted and typeset.
